Kori's dream has come true, she made yearbook photographer for her school this year!! Yippee! She is soooo excited and we are so happy for her and proud! Here is a small sampling of some of my favorite recent photos from Kori, Miss Photographer:
She took this one at yearbook camp this summer when the yearbook staff had the run of the school. It just seems like a happy photo to me.
Here are 2 of Kori's best friends Kenna and Kate. She has about a million pics of these cutie patooties, but this one's my fave.
Here's just an interesting perspective of a sundial. It's all about the details, and Kori loves these kinds of up close, interesting photos.
Kori took a lot of fireworks shots this summer, and this simple one is my favorite of the bunch.
And of course, a self portrait! I'm sure this isn't her best one or her favorite but it's just such a Kori face, I love it!!
Congratulations, you're an official photographer, now the work will begin!

Off to college!
He's a college freshman! Colton has been moving up to his dorm at Utah State University. He's got all of his stuff out and he's going to stay up there tonight! Connections classes for freshmen start tomorrow and then regular university classes start on Monday. He has a buddy that he is rooming with and there are 3 other guys in his dorm. It's a cooking dorm, so we went yesterday and scored some pots and pans at the DI and some cheap utensils and plates and things at the dollar store. All day I was thinking "why haven't I been getting stuff ready all summer?" I think I was just trying to avoid it and not think it was real! Somehow though I'm not sad today, I'm just really excited for him. I think his college experience will be so fun with him living on campus, and it's just an exciting time of life! We've been working on mission papers, so that next step will come soon too! We will all miss having Colton around all the time, but we're proud of him and know that this is the right step. Good luck, Colton!! We love you!

Thompson Family Reunion
It's the first week in August, and it's usually our Bear Lake trip, so where are the boats and the sand? Surprise, it's a different destination this year as the Thompson siblings wanted to camp at Philadelphia Flat in the mountains above Ephraim, Utah, where they used to camp as kids. We loaded up the motorhomes, tents, motorcycles, horses, and warm clothing and headed up to 10,000 feet! 17 Thompsons came this year.
It's a beautiful spot, we felt like we were on top of the world way up here. We had a little rain, but mostly nice weather. It was cool all week and it felt so good!
We brought up some blocks of wood, paint, stickers and modge podge and let the kids have at it. We had some pretty clever creations! Surprisingly, 6 year old Morgan worked the hardest on his blocks. He wanted to make one for him and one for his mom, and he liked a little of everything! We crafted the morning of my birthday, and it was a fun way to spend the day.
Clint gives the thumbs up while riding Erick's horse Smokey. Since we didn't go to Bear Lake, we got the chance to bring the horses and do some different things!
A little mountain biking and dirt biking kept everyone busy. Here's Colton showing off his skills!
We had a great time, thanks Thompson family! We're so glad we have this reunion every year!

Thompson Family Photos
Here are some pics of the Kent Thompson family! Starting with the four Thompson siblings, Erick, Wes, Chad and Michelle.
Here is Michelle and her two ginormous puppies, Chien and Pearl.
Maybe we should take these photos when we first arrive, rather than at the end of a week long camping trip, huh? Oh well, we're happy anyway! Here's the Wes Thompson family.
Erick brought his 3 youngest kids Katelyn, Brynna, and Caleb (aka Buddy!)
Here is Chad's family, wife DawnEtta, and kids Alyx, Cassie, Tavia, Ian and Morgan
