Last week was "baby week" in Kori's Teen Living class. All of the students were required to carry around a baby all week, wherever they went, and they had to keep a log of the baby's activities. They even had to get up in the middle of the night and call the teacher to let her know that they were up with their baby. There was no restriction on what kind of baby they could use, as long as it weighed at least five pounds. Kori wanted to do something different than the typical stuffed animal or doll, so we went to the store and bought the biggest pineapple we could find. Kori drew a face on it, and we made some clothes and blankets. I think he turned out pretty cute, and I especially love his spiky hair. Well, the pineapple was a hit with the whole school! Baby Walter got noticed everywhere he went, but everyone wanted to eat him! At the end of the week, I sent some pineapple to school with Kori so she could share. Unfortunately at the end of the week all the babies have to die, and yes, Baby Walter died by cannibalism. So sad.

Spring Break
10 things we loved about our spring break trip to St. George:
1. The SUN! We actually saw it and felt it! It was so nice to feel warm for a change!
2. Doing a lot of "slickrocking" on the red rocks of southern Utah!
3. Visiting the temple grounds, and a few other historical sites:
4. Hanging out in the trailer, playing some games and just chillaxin'!
5. With all the beauty around us came endless photo opportunities for Kori:
6. Hiking in Zion's Park, despite the scary rock slide that happened right on the trail, a few yards behind us, where we had just been walking! Amazingly, no one was hurt, but it was frightening!
7. Wes and Kori hiked down in to the lava tubes at Snow Canyon. I could only watch, no going underground for me!
8. Hiking at Red Cliffs was our favorite outing this time. Next time we'll be more prepared with swimsuits and towels!
9. Wes's geology lessons - he is definitely in his element when we go to places like this:
10. Being together as a family is always the best thing!

April Fools Day!
No foolin', this is what our house looks like today! I think Mother Nature is playing an April Fools prank on us. Spring, where are you?
We have had our share of April Fools jokes already this morning. There may still be some out there, I'm keeping an eye out! Here are some photos of the crab that scared me when I opened up the strawberries, the snake that made me jump when I opened the cupboard, and some koolaid attached to the shower head. It didn't get Wes red, but it did cause water to squirt all over! Our main suspect in all this morning trickery???
Clint of course!
