A Day At The Lake
It was a beautiful Cache Valley summer day, the kind you wish you could have all year long. The kids' friends, Connor and Sierra came along and each got up on a kneeboard for the first time! The water was brisk but glassy. It was a perfect day, except for the sunburns that we felt later!!
Sierra's up! And she's down...
Clint is the king of the kneeboard:
Watch out for mud monsters!
Connor is serious about his kneeboarding:
Kori on the wakeboard:
Look at that reflection! That is some seriously nice water.
Fun times!
There's the boat captain and his first mate:

50 Years Together
Happy 50th Anniversary, Grandpa Mike and Grandma Pauline! We had a wonderful day of celebration. Curt and Kathy came from Kansas and we all went to the Logan temple where Mike and Pauline were married 50 years ago. The adults did a session, while the kids did baptisms. We went to dinner and then had cake and presents at our house. Kori took some darling photos. Here are a few of my favorites along with some memorable quotes that we overheard throughout the day:
Grandma - (gesturing to her kids and grandkids) "This is what we have gotten in 50 years."
Kori - "We need some kissing pictures."
Grandpa - "You're kidding me, right?"
Grandpa - "Your mother doesn't look any different than she did 50 years ago the day we were married."
Grandma - "I feel like a bride all over again!"
Grandpa - "We ate at the Bluebird after our wedding."
Grandma - "It still looks about the same."
Thank you for the values you teach, the examples you set, and the love that you show us every day. We are so glad we could celebrate this milestone with you!

Little Things I Love...
Little things I love about my house!
I love this wicker rocker. It has been in the Thompson family for more than 100 years, and I feel privileged to have it in my living room. It is super comfy to curl up in!
My very talented mother-in-law passed away about 14 years ago. She helped me paint this chicken napkin holder when I was first married. It was fun to craft with her, and this reminds me of her every day.
My friend Skye painted these fish, and they make me smile every day. They are so joyful, and I love the caption which reads "Life is a daring adventure...or nothing!"
I was going to say I love the drawer pulls in my kitchen, but I have to include my entire kitchen island. I love everything about it, the pulls, the color, the distressing, the butcher block top, the toe kicks, and the garbage cans that hide inside!
My babies! I love seeing these photos as I walk down the hall. My how time flies! Aren't they cute?
Here is another 100 plus year old Thompson antique that I feel lucky to have. It is a beautiful dresser that sits in my bedroom. I am amazed at the woodwork on this thing!
Of all the American Girl stuff and other souvenirs I hauled home or had sent home from NYC, this is the one I still have displayed. It is just a simple plate, but I love it, and I have it in my kitchen because after that trip I wanted to copy Sheri!!
It is hard for me to find bedspreads that I like on my bed, because a lot of bedding is too feminine or frou-frou for me. Or I like the styles in the kids section better! This one fits the bill just right for me, plus it is soft and warm!
I love having my nutcrackers on display all the time. Most of them were gifts from my Aunt JuJu. This is my bird collection. They are not seen as much as the others, because they hang out with me in my craft room.
I love my front porch. It is my favorite place to sit and read a book, or snuggle with my honey on warm summer evenings!

Dino-Mite!
It was a great day for Clint! He came with me to drop off Kori and a friend at EFY in Provo. Clint and I then had the rest of the day to hang. We had yummy shakes at Iceberg and then went to the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point. Clint hadn't been there since he was about five, and it brought back a lot of memories for him. He was clearly in his element:
We had a great day, but after we got home, Clint had one more surprise. Wes brought home a new motorcycle!! Lucky Clint! He outgrew his old dirt bike and it was time for a change. He is pretty excited to go riding:

California
Here are some photos of Elder T in California:
His companion is from Heber City and his name is Elder Moulton:
Here are the other Elders in his apartment, I don't know why Colton is wearing pajama pants while the others have their missionary clothes on!
The area seems really pretty right now. I love how you can just barely see the LA skyline in the background. Colton says you can only see it on clear days, a lot of days are smoggy:
Here's a photo of his first baptism, Elder T got to do the confirmation:
Every other P-day they have a zone activity and he always tells us about those. They usually bowl or play dodge ball or something active and fun. Cute Sisters!
This is the "legacy tie." Colton's Grandpa Kent, who Colton Kent is named for, wore this tie on his mission, and Wes, whose middle name is also Kent, wore this tie on his mission! Colton says he gets lots of compliments on it. Skinny ties are back in style:
