We have a lot of differences, you and me.
Just take a look and you will see...

I am short, you are tall,
You like Summer, I like Fall.

You like the blinds up, I like them down,
You’re scared of nothing, I’m scared of clowns.

You like thick, I like thin,
You like Sun, I like Jin.

You like to save, I’d rather spend,
You often rip, I often mend.

You’re always hot, I’m always cold,
I am young and you are old.

I like covers, you like none.
I like pajamas, you like none.

I like to be early, you’re usually late,
Neither of us like Kevin in Cider’s crate.

I like steamy showers, you like them cool,
When I need help, you have the right tool.

I like the foam in, you like it out,
We both like the hot tub without a doubt.

You like Crown Burger, I like Jimmy John’s,
I am right, you are wrong.

You like my hair long, I like yours short,
You wore a mullet, oh wait, I did too.

I like current music, you like classic rock,
To you it’s beige, ecru you mock.

You hunt elk, I hunt shoes that are tall,
You have a large bladder, mine is quite small.

You think they’re rabbits, I know they’re dogs,
You have killed deer, Cider kills hogs.

You like the garage on Saturday nights,
I’d rather put on a show and turn out the lights.

When I can I like to lazily live,
When you have time, you take initiative!

Although we may be different, we’re two halves of a whole,
And life with you is surely never dull.

So Happy Birthday to my Mr. Darcy, Mr. Incredible, Mr. Locke,
There’s just one more thing to say, YOU ROCK!!

Christmas Eve Talent Show

Here's how our annual Christmas Eve Talent Show went down this year.  First up, Clint.  He showed us how to make an origami crane, but with a twist.  We all had to lose one sense.  We were either blindfolded, had oven mitts on our hands, or earphones over our ears.  It was pretty funny:

Next up, Kori, who learned how to play the ukelele and accompanied us in singing "Mele Kalikimaka."

My talent was also a song.  I made posters for each verse and then led everyone in singing "Must Be Santa."

Padre Man had a great talent.  It was called "The Many Faces of Wes."  He modeled all of his old glasses, from his very first pair, through all his sunglasses, bifocals, and finally to his new contacts.  The only pair he didn't show us was the pair that fell into Bear Lake, oops.

Next was Aunt Michelle who taught us about the history of aprons.  It was pretty cute.  And ironically, she got an apron for Christmas from a friend.

Grandma Pauline told us the story of how the candy cane was invented and what it symbolizes.

I think this is the first year that Grandpa Mike hasn't played the piano for his talent.  Instead, he told us some stories about his Christmases away from home.

Then we had our new Christmas Eve book.  This year, in honor of Elder Colton, we chose "The Twelve Days Of Christmas In California."  We made posters for each verse and sang the song.

Ceramics Class

Kori had Ceramics 1 during first tri, and we were all impressed by what she could create.  I especially love her black tree, pumpkin, and all the bowls she made on the wheel.  Can't wait for Ceramics 2!!

It's always a good day when we get mission photos in the mail!

These pics are pretty random.  He didn't send any explanations.  For example, whose skis are these, and where is he planning on skiing in Southern California?

He did tell us that he bought 600 Christmas lights to decorate the apartment!

Silly boys.  Elder T thinks he'll be getting transferred this week right before Christmas, and he may get made a Senior Comp.  He's nervous about that, but he needs to have that responsibility at some point!  We are so excited to talk to him on Christmas Day!  Yay!
