Grandma Pauline's Birthday
Happy Birthday Grandma Pauline!
I won't say how old she is, but believe me, she is young at heart! We celebrated with lunch at Chili's, presents, and chocolate cake! Doesn't get much better than that!

California Pics!
Elder Jedi sent a few pics from the mission today!
It's been rainy in East LA!
I love this picture of his desk because I recognize a lot of his things: his Christmas lights, his watch, hot wheels car, camera bag, I think we sent the goldfish and cashews to him, and notice the digital frame on the right side with a photo of Cider on it! We sent him that for his birthday, nice to see him using it.
Colton helped cleaned out a church building one day and came across this old typewriter. The ward was just going to get rid of it, so Colton took it home and he's been typing his letters on it. He thinks it's sweet and says all the other Elders are jealous of him. I think that is hysterical, but a gadget guy like him is probably starved for any kind of gadget he can get his hands on! I love that he took a picture of it. I wonder what will become of the typewriter when it's time for him to come home.
We have heard a lot about Noe and Josefina. I think they are a mother and son. This sounded like a special baptism. I think Noe looks like a Nephite, like someone you'd see pose for a painting of Ammon or Moroni! These were the first baptisms that Elder T. performed in Spanish.

The Sweet Sixteen party continued with a giant joint birthday party for Kori and her friends Alysha, Sierra and Kassidy who all turned 16 the same weekend. Sierra and Kassidy's parents invited the kids up to their cabin at Bear Lake. The parents all drove and provided food. It was Kori's favorite birthday party ever!
