A Walk To Remember

This morning Kori and I walked to the temple with our Ward's Young Women group!  We started at 6:00 am from our church, and walked 8.1 miles to the temple.  It was a beautiful day for it, the girls were all troopers, and Kori walked the entire route BAREFOOT!!!

Hiking

We have been hiking the past couple of summers with a group of friends.  It gets the kids out, gives us some sunshine and exercise, and gives us a chance to see parts of our valley that we don't ordinarily see.  We try to do a different hike each week.  Today we went on the Bonneville Shoreline Trail that goes between Green Canyon and First Dam.  It's a nice hike of about 4 miles, gravel trail and a beautiful view.  I'd like to do this one again!  Come and join us anytime on Wednesday mornings!

The Prom Locker

My friend Amy and I have a new business venture/hobby.  We are calling it The Prom Locker.  We are redesigning second-hand prom dresses, updating them, and altering for modesty.  We hope to rent them out for $50 a dress.  I am learning a lot of things that I don't know and it is a little scary to put ourselves out there like this!  But I hope it will fill a need.  We're accepting donations!  If you or anyone you know would like to donate a dress that will be loved and put to good use, let me know!  We have a few dresses that are ready, and several more that we are currently working on.  Hopefully we'll have a good variety ready before the formal dances start this fall. Fathers And Sons

Wes and Clint joined our Ward guys for the fathers and sons campout at Bear Lake.  Wes took a lot of pics, too bad none of them are of him or Clint!!!  I think he had too much fun taking pictures of our cute nursery kids. Wes was also in charge of the BB gun shoot which he said went well.  Wes and Clint were glad for our camper because it got cold in the night.  They were fed well, enjoyed a movie, games, campfire songs and had a great time.  Kori and I are a little jealous, we want to have a Ward mothers and daughters campout!

One little girl showed up for Friday evening.  Wes said at least one of the boys thought that was highly unfair that a girl got to come!
