Laurel Retreat

Kori's YW President sent these photos that were taken at our Stake's Laurel Retreat.  Kori had lots of fun, and I'm glad she was finally able to attend one of these - her last year.  Don't we have some cute girls in our Stake?

75 Years Young!

We love you, Grandma Pauline!!  Her birthday is today, but we celebrated with the Pocatello gang last Saturday.  We went out for Mexican food and then back to Grandma's for birthday cake and presents.  Happy Birthday!!

Spring?

Spring is coming.  It's right around the corner, I can feel it!  Even though THIS is what our house still looks like.  Yep, it's March 6th, and this is our yard as of this morning.  I did enjoy a walk outside today which was divine!  It's been so cold this winter that I've almost forgotten how nice it is to be outside in the sunshine!  Come on, Spring...

It's been a whirlwind birthday weekend for this pretty 18 year old!

First, Sky View's boys basketball team went to state... and WON!  Kori went to all the games, cheered like crazy, nearly lost her voice, and couldn't believe she actually got a STATE CHAMPIONSHIP for her birthday!  ;)  What a great Senior Year moment!

She did manage to take ONE photo of the actual game!  Ha ha!!  Looks like fun.  We're proud to be Bobcats this weekend!!
On Sunday, Kori's actual birthday, Grandma and Grandpa and Karlton came over for dinner.  Yummy Clam Chowder, Zuppa Toscana, salad and rolls!

Karlton gave her some delicious looking avocados and the She's The Man movie!  Perfect!

Grandma and Grandpa brought some yummy new Bath and Body scents and some spending money at American Eagle!

From the rest of us, she got some wicked tribal pants!

And... a surprise!  Kori and I had just been having a discussion about how she doesn't really like surprises.  I had planned a big surprise for her gift, so I was a little worried.  But I don't think I needed to worry.  She was completely surprised AND happy with her Taylor Swift tickets!!!  Can't wait for June 1st!

Such a fabulous birthday weekend!  Kori, we can't believe you're 18 already and about to leave the nest!  We are so proud of the confident, kind, talented, sweet, strong young woman you have become.  You have a bright future ahead of you, and we look forward to your next adventures!  We love you so much!!

Special Needs Seminary

Kori had to say goodbye to her friends in the special needs Seminary class yesterday as it was the end of the trimester.  She has had a wonderful experience this tri with these awesome kids!  She has learned a lot, and her testimony has been strengthened.  She will miss these kids, but hopefully she will still be able to see them occasionally during the last tri!  What a cute class!!
