Homecoming Dance Part 2

Clint got the group shots back from the Homecoming Dance.  Looks like a super fun group!  No wonder he had such a great time!!
Clint and his cute date, Cali!

Pretty girls, love all the dresses!

The guys.

The "girlie" poses!

Love the SV in the background!

Not sure what this whole exchange was about, but I love how the photographer kept snapping pictures!!

Homecoming Dance 2013

Well, Clint is off to his first Homecoming Dance!  His date is Cali, and I love her sparkly dress!  I can't wait to see pics of the whole group!!

Puppy And Kitty

Okay, don't judge me by the looks of my early fall flowerbed which was grossly neglected this year.  I just couldn't resist taking some pictures of my animals sharing the same space.  This is as close as they ever get to each other.  No, they're not the best of friends, but they tolerate each other most of the time!

Getting Our Geek On At Comic Con!

Lucky for us, the first ever SLC Comic Con was starting on the same day we dropped Kori off at the airport.  It's one of Clint's bucket list items, so of course we had to go!  I was really glad to have Clint there with me and have lots of fun as it kept my mind off worrying about Kori.  We had a few hours to kill in between the airport and Comic Con, so we went to lunch at my favorite Zupa's, and then we found the new Natural History Museum.  Very lovely building and a well planned out museum.  We loved it!

Wes needs to visit the museum.  He would love it.

Loved this artifact wall!

Clint caught a little sun on the sky terrace!

View of SLC!

Clint chillin' with his neanderthal friends!

The original Clint-o-saurus!

And finally.... we made it to Comic Con!  What a fun, crazy world!  Clint felt like he was among "his people."  I didn't know half of what was going on, but it was a great place to people watch.  The costumes were so cool to see!  We saw a couple of panel discussions, the 501st Legion and David Prowse and Peter Mayhew.  The rest of the time we just walked around and saw all the booths and took it all in.  Fun day!!

I bought this Yoda shirt for the con, so I had to get my pic taken with some other Star Wars nerds.  Besides that, I got to hold this awesome gun!

501st Legion panel discussion.  Seriously legit costumes and a great presentation.  They were funny, and they do some really cool charity work.  Who knew?

Gretchen could have made a better tardis than this, but I still thought she would have gotten a kick out of it, so I took this pic for her.

These guys were the original Darth Vader and Chewbacca in all the films.  They were fun to listen to and had some interesting and funny stories to tell.

Awesome Sharknado costume!  This might have to be my Halloween costume this year!

Here's the Doctor, at home in the Tardis.

Tons of celebrities were there.  A few of the ones I knew weren't going to be there until Saturday, like William Shatner.  Dang!  A lot of them I had no idea who they were!  But I did know Dirk Benedict and a few others.  We didn't stand in line to talk to any of them, just got a pic of Mr. Battlestar Galactica.

Cosplay at its finest!  This was a very convincing Jack Sparrow.  Looked and acted just like him!  I think the rum in his cup probably helped!!  Ha ha!

The girl from Portal.  She was cute.  Clint was really happy to see her.

This was a statue of a Halo dude.

Clint should be part of this group.  These Lego creations were insane!

Me and Castle!

Clint and Castle!

This was part of the WETA Hobbit display, some of the original armor, weapons and special effects from the film.

Sting.

There were a lot of Doctors in the house!

This Bane had the voice down.  And he was swoll.

We thought Wes was coming!  There was a spot for him!  But he never showed up, ha ha!!

A way believable Spiderman.

We had to have a pic with some members of the 501st.
