Sadly, Clint didn't make Exec. He found out today that he didn't make it past primaries. Boo! But we had a nice day anyway. We went out for ice cream when he got home, and then he went to Sky View's Festival of Colors. He's picking up a BAGA application next week. He found out he got nominated for Jr. Prom royalty, and he asked a girl to the dance. He also found out today that he got accepted to SUU's Governor's Honors Academy 2014! Hooray!! We are so excited about this because we know what a tremendous honor and opportunity it is! Not to mention the full ride scholarship if he chooses to attend SUU. Congrats Clint! And way to put yourself out there and try out for Exec! 550 kids in your graduating class and only 24 of them dared to run. You did your best and put forth an awesome effort. You should feel really good about that, and we are so proud of you in everything you do!! Even when you are covered in colored chalk:

Nachoooooooo!
It's that time of year again. Time for Sky View student government tryouts. First up, Exec. Clint is trying out for Exec Vice President. His skit involved him dressing up in a hilarious Nacho Libre costume:
And here's how the skit went down:
All of the skits were a lot of fun to watch! The kids did a great job. Clint has some stiff competition with 2 other kids trying out for VP. 2 of them will make it past the primaries, which we find out tomorrow! Good luck, Clint!!

Long Distance Birthday
We had to celebrate Kori's 19th birthday long distance this year. It was so weird to not have her here with us. But we are grateful for modern technology so that we could still share a little bit of her day with her! We had pizza for dinner...
And then we opened presents via Face Time!
Kori, we love you so much! We are so proud of the wonderful example you are to us and to everyone you meet. We miss you every day! We love your adventurous spirit, and we're so happy when you share your Hawaiian adventures with us. BYU-H is lucky to have you!!! We can't wait to see your smiling face in person! Happy Number 19!

We sent a card with some money so she can buy a new pair of TOMS. Or whatever she decides to buy with it. |
We also sent some goodies and birthday banners and horns. |
Karlton gave her some new Sharpies and nail polish. |
She was happy! |
We loved talking to her!!! |
She was also excited about her gift from Gollum! |
