How To Become A Pirate Hunter

Wow, we have a celebrity in the neighborhood! This is our friend Marty Reeder and his darling daughter. Mr. Reeder was a favorite SV teacher. He taught all of our kids, Spanish and English. We went to a party at The Book Table to celebrate the release of his new book. Wes and I had pre-ordered it from Amazon and we both really enjoyed it. It's a great "boy" book, because it's all about pirates and adventure on the high seas. It's written for the Jr. High age, but it's a fun read for anyone. We recommend it!

Make Cookies, Poma

Okay, well how can I resist that?

Spring Has Sprung

We've had record high temps this week and it sure has been nice to be able to play outside! Livi and I have been to the park a few times, and we've played in the rocks. Livi has been using her deep voice for the big rocks, "I'm a BIG rock," and her little voice for the teeny rocks, "I'm a LITTLE rock." So cute. Such a smart girl. We sure love when she comes to visit!

We've also been having fun inside lately, playing with all the regular toys, plus dinosaurs! The dinosaurs have been the the "park," the "grocery store," they've even had naps. We also got to have a sleepover with Livi, complete with Moana, popcorn and juice!

Happy Birthday, Sister T!

Lucky Kori had an epic birthday celebration in Brazil with not one, not two, but three birthday cakes and lots of Brazilian friends to celebrate with! We did our own celebrating here at home with a Carnaval themed (Utah style :) party complete with masks, beads, decorations, Brazilian party music, taco salads, cupcakes and açaí!! We sure love you, Sister Thompson!

Island Park 2017

It's been 10 years of getting together with this crew at Island Park and we sure hope it keeps going for at least another 10! Always such a great time, this year was no exception. We think Island Park has more snow than we've ever seen before. We had some fantastic skiing right from the cabin. We ate, puzzled and played games, laughed a lot, and enjoyed the Island Park ward on Sunday. The only bad part was coming home. We wish these weekends would last longer! Thanks, friends!!

This is how much snow we had just outside of the cabin. This is a pole with a birdhouse on the top. The ruler on the side goes to 5 feet!
