Our last day in Indiana was spent exploring the city of Indianapolis. The headquarters of the American Legion are here, so there are a lot of war memorials. We were sad that the World War Museum wasn't open. We'll have to catch that next time. But we walked all around the memorials, we found the really huge and cool Indianapolis library, the capitol building, a couple of neat churches, and we walked along the canal. The city is really clean and attractive. After we'd had our fill, we had some lunch and headed to the airport. We are so grateful that we were able to take this trip and see Clint's mission areas. We had a ball. Thanks Indiana for your hospitality!

Indiana 2018 Day Four - Hoosiers
Sunday was a sweet day, especially for me since it was Mother's Day. We attended the ward in Avon, one of Clint's favorite wards, and all day long I just kept hearing how awesome my son is, and what a great Elder he was. Could a Mother's Day get any better than that? We ate lunch with the Andersons and dinner with the Christiansens. Everyone was so nice to us. In between we stopped at the most beautiful park in Avon. That evening we found the rock quarry in Greencastle and hiked all around the rim. It looked just like the quarry in Stranger Things! We stopped by to see the Gleasons on the way back to the hotel. We were able to Face Time with Colton's family and Kori for Mother's Day. Kori sent me a sweet text and Karlton sent me a cute picture. What a great day!
Indiana 2018 Day Three - Terre Haute Terre Haute Will You Do The Fandango?
Clint spent 6 months in Terre Haute. It was one of his favorite places. We spent an entire day driving there and then seeing the sights. We stopped at Cataract Falls on the way and saw one more bonus covered bridge. We walked around the downtown, saw Clint's old apartment building, and even lucked out hearing Eva Kor speak at the CANDLES museum. We spent the evening with the Fosters out on the goat farm. They took great care of Clint while he was serving there. He spent his only mission Christmas at their house. We were really excited to meet them, and having dinner with them and playing with the baby goats was definitely a highlight of our trip.
