We celebrated Ivy's first birthday with tacos, presents and an elephant cake! Ivy loved her cupcake. She was kind of a dainty eater, but she ate the whole thing. She had so much fun opening her presents. She got lots of fun things to play with. We gave her a new outfit. Clint and Kori gave her a Tickle Me Elmo. Ivy started walking a week before her birthday. She is saying a few words, she'll say "hi" to everyone she sees and wave bye bye. She loves her big sister and follows her everywhere. She has the most beautiful big blue eyes and the cutest four toothed smile. She is just a doll. We love her so much. Happy Birthday sweet girl!! We can't wait to see what your second year holds!

Livi's First Nutcracker
The day after Thanksgiving we took Livi to The Nutcracker for the first time. She was sooooo excited! And she LOVED it! It was magical. She wanted "more ballerinas!" She loved the growing Christmas tree, the dancing Mice, the clowns and especially the Sugar Plum Fairy. We had a ball! We went to eat at El Toro after and it was such a fun day.
Thankful
We are thankful this year to have our missionaries home, to have our grandkids close by, to have good health, to live in a free country, and for our Savior. We were all together except for Kori, who had Thanksgiving dinner with her ward in Hawaii. Clint showed off his new "no shave November" look. Clint and I headed to the cabin on Wednesday to make pies. Wes came up that night. Karlton and the girls drove up in time for dinner on Thursday and then spent the night. The Mikesells stopped by to have pie with us. We made some cute hand and foot print Christmas decorations. Our dinner was yummy and we had a great time! Happy Thanksgiving!
Harry Potter Day
Lucky me, I got to sub at Edith Bowen on Harry Potter day! It was the funnest day ever! Susan has been telling me about it for years. This was their 20th year of doing Harry Potter day. I can't believe HP is that old. Harry Potter day is always a surprise for the kids. I don't know who has more fun, the kids or the teachers! The cafeteria was decked out in full Hogwarts grandeur, and as the kids went through the line, they got sorted into their houses. The teachers all sat at the head table to have lunch. I dressed up like Professor Umbridge and had so much fun. I can't believe I got paid for that!
