Storm Of The Century
Smithfield had a crazy cloudburst and hail storm the other day. It only lasted about 20 minutes, but it was an intense 20 minutes! We could hear ongoing thunder almost the whole time, which was eerie. The rain was coming down faster than I've ever seen it, and I've never seen that much hail in that short a time either. Every town around us was dry too. Crazy. A lot of our neighbors had water in their basements, but luckily we were fine. Just a lot of debris in our rocks and a ton of leaves on the ground when it was over. And the hail that was left on the ground lasted quite a while. We made the news and everything. One inch of water was dropped in that short amount of time. Just wild!
Magical Fairyland Hike
Wayne's Loop in Mendon is a magical fairyland and it does not look like Utah, not to mention Utah the end of July! This was an incredibly aweesome hike with incredible ladies!
He's 23!
Happy Birthday Clint! We celebrated Covid style with takeout from Callaway's, family, presents and cheesecake here at home. It was a fun night! We are so proud of you Clint! We love you!

Cemetery Hopping
I had a fun family history activity the other day. I had been reading about Mary Fish Wright and her husband John Pannell Wright. I was interested in Mary because she was born in Guernsey, but I also found out that John was the first surveyor of Logan and was the man who named Logan. He is considered by some to be the father of Logan. When I found out that they were buried in Paradise, I drove out to see their graves. I feel so connected to these two now that I know we share some Cache Valley connections. My cemetery hopping friend Ranae came with me and we got a fun hike in at Richards Hollow too!
Aubrey's Blessing Day
Aubrey's blessing day was so special! We love this sweet little boy so much! It was a different kind of blessing due to Covid. We just met as a family at Colton and Karlee's house. Their Bishop was there, but Colton conducted. We had an opening and closing prayer, and during the blessing Colton was the only one who held Aubrey. Colton did a wonderful job with the blessing. It was fun to hang out and have lunch afterward with the Ulriches. It was a really beautiful day!
