We had an epic adventure in the mountains with a film crew from Road Trippin With Bob And Mark. This is the second time Wes has been out with a film crew, and the first time for me. We drove from Garden City through Peter Sink, Temple Peak, Old Ephraim's Grave, Temple Flat and Temple Canyon. It was a gorgeous fall day and we had a lot of fun people along for the ride. The colors are just getting started, seems they're a little late this year.
We drove up to Twin Falls to surprise Russ on his 50th birthday. Tia had put together a Highland themed surprise birthday complete with bagpipers and Highland High School memorabilia. Plus some pretty sweet tattoos! We had a blast. The next day we toured the Shoshone Ice Cave before heading home.
While Wes was hunting, I got the chance to go sailing with some fun new friends from our ward. Their sailboat a LOT bigger than ours. They live on it all summer. We had quite a bit of wind, and we had an awesome time! Thank you Meyers!
Wes got to go elk hunting with his old buddy Wes Butch, who had finally gotten an elk tag here in Utah after trying for a lot of years. Since Wes knew the area, down in Sanpete, he was invited to go help scout. Wes Butch shot his elk early on the first morning of the hunt! Pretty sweet!
We donated a day of boating on the lake for OSSO's recent fundraiser. This delightful family from Springville bought it and we had them up over the weekend for a really fun day. It's always good to meet new friends. We've had a little smoke in the air lately which has made for some cool skies here.
Poppi and Grammy joined us for a beautiful evening of skiing and we went out to dinner after. We lured a few seagulls in with some animal crackers. Poppi and Pop Pop both took turns on the water. It was super fun!
