Clint turned 27 on the 27th! He and Breonna came up with some great ideas for a golden party: gold food, gold outfits, gold decor, gold confetti, gold gift wrap, gold jeopardy game... So much fun!! We gave Clint some new clothes for his new job. Happy Birthday Clint! We love you so much!
We got to help with an early morning marriage proposal! Five boats each holding up words of a big sign: HALLE WILL YOU MARRY ME? The couple was flown over the lake in a plane. It was so fun to be part of this memory. The pilot is a friend of ours. When they got back to the hangar, the couple's family was all there. Such a fun idea.
Wes and buddies had a great ride, plus got some breakfast from some local campers!
We celebrated July 4th with Wes's cousin Preston and his kids. We boated in the morning and got all of them up on the kneeboard and ski skimmer. We went fossil hunting in the afternoon, and then spent some more time at the water. Karlton and Kori sent pics of their celebrations. Clint was up at Redfish. It was a great day!
The Wheatleys joined us for a side by side ride in Logan Canyon. We were trying to get to Pat Hollow to see the airplane crash site, but it was gated. We'll have to try a different route another day. But we still had a gorgeous day for a ride, and we found a really nice spot to sit and eat lunch.
I love living in a small town! Small towns need lots of help from everyone to function well. I have so many opportunities to serve in the community. At church, I just got called to be the Primary Chorister, which I am loving so far. I am on the Library Board, currently I'm the Chairperson. I get to help with lots of Library events. I am in charge of the discussions at our library book club once a month. I volunteer to help run the Food Pantry. I am on the Pickleball Committee. I am the DJ for water aerobics three times a week, and I sometimes substitute teach. I volunteer with the Beautification Committee watering the city's flower all summer. I get up at 5 am on Mondays to go water so that I can make it to my exercise class at 8. I love all my little jobs, and I love everything about living in Garden City!
