Mother's Day

The kids came up for a sleepover on Mother's Day weekend while Colton and Karlee celebrated their belated anniversary. Little Man wasn't feeling well and had a fever. He was lethargic and didn't want to do anything except snuggle me. Not anyone else, just me. Clint and Kori and Wes took over charge of the girls while I held Aubrey. He could not sleep, and we had cleared out our house to get it ready to sell, so I finally got a blanket and pillow and just laid on the living room floor and held him all night long. It was very sweet for me, even if I didn't get any sleep. Aubrey and I totally bonded that night. When Karlee and Colton got back on Saturday, they took me and Grammie out for dinner at El Toro, yum! We gave Karlee some fridge organizing containers for Mother's Day. Clint and Kori were here on Sunday to celebrate. Clint gave me a funny card and some Almond Roca, Kori gave me a super cute lei t-shirt, and Wes gave me money for a new bra. Aubrey was sick all weekend. Karlee finally took him to the doc on Monday who said he probably had a virus. He was feeling better and all perked up by Tuesday, thank goodness!

It's All Bloody Real

Things are getting real around here. Wes and I hosted a rockin' two day moving sale. The whole backyard was full of stuff. I was so overwhelmed Friday morning. I thought we'd have stuff on our lawn for a month! But people showed up and people bought stuff! The tools went really fast, as well as the vinyl records. Some of the furniture sold along with several pairs of cross country skis and boots. Our two day total was $2,600! We couldn't believe it! At the end of the day Saturday we had one truck load to take to the DI and a few random furniture pieces, and that was it. Cha-ching! Tuesday the movers showed up and took away most of our house. We left our bed, a few kitchen things and some random items to help stage the house. We're pretty much camping out for a couple of weeks until we get the house sold. We will list it next week.

Treasures

Finding more treasures while we're packing. This time it's some funny stories from Wes's third grade composition book, old letters to Santa, and a sweet note from Wes in a book he gave me when we were dating.

Willard

Fun Friday at Willard was a really great time!

Around The House

We are getting ready to move, packing and cleaning out. We found a couple of items that we don't want to hang onto, but that we need to document. These have been hanging around the house for years! First up is our Family Home Evening assignment chart that we used for years and years. We each made our own stick with a different item from the garden and then we used those to make assignments each week. I hope you kids have fond memories of Family Home Evening at our house. I sure do! Next is the LOST chest poem that Kori wrote that hung in our bathroom closet for years and years, ha ha! This seems irreverent next to the FHE board, but it made us laugh a lot.
