Meet Natasha!

We traded in one red Mazda for another red Mazda. We were sad to see the old car go, but it had 140,000 miles on it and I have needed something a little better equipped for snow. We do love our red Mazdas though and this new one feels different but familiar. Clint said it looks like our car got stung by a bee and just swelled up a little bit, ha ha! It's a 2023 with only 9,000 miles. We bought her from a cute Russian man so we thought she needed a Russian name. Meet Natasha!

First Paddle

May 11 and it's my first paddle of 2024, wahoooo! Last year, the lake was just barely thawed out by this time. This year we've had a glorious Spring. The lake has been so still and so beautiful, I've been dying to get out on it. Water temp today is only 47 degrees, brrr! It was chilly getting in the water, but it felt so great once I was up. Summer's right around the corner, yay!

Moab

Another great family camp out in Moab! Wes helped the kids make dirt shirts and squirrel meat, I brought bracelet crafts. We rode and hiked and laughed and ate and had a fabulous time!

Poma 1980s

We gave the girls some fashion doll kits for Easter and Ivy made Poma from the 1980s! I love it!

Oregon

We visited Kori and Kent in Oregon for Easter and our anniversary weekend. 35 years! Clint and Breonna came with us, and we all had a fabulous time. On the way to Forest Grove we stopped at a fish hatchery where Breonna fell in love with Herman the sturgeon. The first night Kent cooked for us, which was wonderful. We stayed at the McMennamin's crazy hotel. Kori and Kent call it the murder hotel, ha ha! It was a huge Masonic lodge that they used as an orphanage and also as a veteran's home. It's painted all wild colors and the rooms are named after authors or books and they're all a little different. We went to a park and hiked around a little, and we went to a wetland park where we saw the biggest muskrat ever! The next day we visited the zoo, the Japanese Gardens and an amazing, huge arcade that was nostalgic and super fun. The next day we went to the coast, Tillamook, Cape Meares lighthouse, Bayocean beach and Mo's for dinner. We walked along Cannon Beach and found a friend from home. On the way home we stopped at Multnomah Falls. Thank you Kori and Kent for taking us around your Oregon home and showing us a great time! Can't wait to see you again soon!
