Kori's Senior Pictures

I'm trying not to cry as I post this.  My daughter is a Senior.  And not to brag but... okay, nevermind, I'm totally gonna brag!  Cause look how beautiful she is!  Inside and out.  I am so proud to call this girl my daughter.  I love you Kori!  Ashley Mae Photography took the pics and she was amazing!  So fun to work with.  We got up super early in the morning to drive up to Bear Lake this summer day.  Totally worth it.  Gorgeous lighting!  Gorgeous!!  And this is just a small sampling of the pics we got.  She took a ton, how are we ever going to pick a favorite??  Love them all.  Enjoy...

The Family That Reads Together

While I was making dinner tonight, I poked my head into the living room and this is what I saw:

Aren't they cute?

Sky View Here We Come!

For only the third and final time in our family's history of public education, we have two kids at the same school!  Clint is a new Sophomore and Kori is a Senior this year.  Go Bobcats!

Sneakers

A couple of next door cuties came sneaking over to our house the other night!  Here is the evidence:

Lazy Makeover

Chair makeover - the lazy way!  This chair came from my Grandpa's house once upon a time, and I had it recovered.  It no longer matches anything in my house and I've wanted to do something different with it.  I bought a slipcover a couple of years ago, but it didn't ever fit very well and always looked sloppy.  I kind of wanted to paint it and recover the seat, but that intimidates me.  Plus I didn't really want to put a lot of time into it.  So I did it the lazy way and just made my own slipcover!  I think it turned out quite cute!  It fits so much better, and it brightens up my craft room.  Now I'm going to make a pillow for my living room out of the leftover fabric.

Rest In Peace, EP

Wes said goodbye to an old friend on Saturday.  His beloved 1982 EP is no longer, due to the ravages of old age.  While Wes was out skiing, he noticed a tapping sound, and then saw the tip of the ski delaminating.  He thought he could make a few more turns, especially since the water was so glassy and smooth, but it was not to be.  The ski catastrophically failed on a hard cut across the wake, leading to a serious header by Wes.  After the crash, he saw the tip of the EP floating in the water like a shark fin.  The ski was in 2 pieces, sliced in half lengthwise.  Weird!  I never imagined a ski could come apart like that.  It almost looks like a pair in some of these pics!  Good thing Wes has been training a new Connelly Attack the past couple of years to take the EP's place.  He will miss this old friend though!
