Wes said goodbye to an old friend on Saturday. His beloved 1982 EP is no longer, due to the ravages of old age. While Wes was out skiing, he noticed a tapping sound, and then saw the tip of the ski delaminating. He thought he could make a few more turns, especially since the water was so glassy and smooth, but it was not to be. The ski catastrophically failed on a hard cut across the wake, leading to a serious header by Wes. After the crash, he saw the tip of the EP floating in the water like a shark fin. The ski was in 2 pieces, sliced in half lengthwise. Weird! I never imagined a ski could come apart like that. It almost looks like a pair in some of these pics! Good thing Wes has been training a new Connelly Attack the past couple of years to take the EP's place. He will miss this old friend though!
