Girl Time

Had another little getaway with Kori over the weekend.  Grateful for a little time to play before she leaves for Ecuador on Tuesday.  It's just mad packing and last minute arrangements from here on out, but we did have a wonderful time at Bloomington Lake!  We listened to National Parks, One Republic, and Lumineers the whole way, discussed life, thrilled at the beauty around us, and chased cows.
This was on the way.  We called it The Shire.

Just love this beautiful clear water.

Selfies at the lake.

In true Kori fashion, she wanted to climb on all the rocks.  After all, she is a geologist's daughter.

And sit among the wildflowers.  Wild child.

My attempt at a foot shot, not as cool as Kori's.  But aren't Kori's new shoes the bomb?

She didn't bring her suit, but she would have regretted not getting in that water.  Mermaid.

No regrets for me.  I just liked looking at it and taking pictures!

I was sad that the cows wouldn't let me get close enough to them to pet them.

We called this the Cider cow.

This little photo bomber calf was so adorable!

And we couldn't get over these cute cows with the white hearts on their foreheads.

A Place Of Love And Beauty

Sorry to the rest of our family whom we didn't invite.  Kori and I snuck off on a spontaneous girly trip to Ogden to see the new temple.  It's beautiful!

Then we went and had some Zupa's!  Mmmmm... makes me happy happy happy!  Quick but fun trip!

The Last First Day

Clint is off to school!  Senior year baby!

Lots of change since the first day of Kindergarten!  Isn't he adorable?

I gotta admit, I'm having a rough time with this year.  It's the last time I'll send a kid off to the first day of school.  Next year I might be breaking down in sobs when I see all the kids waiting for the bus in my driveway.  But for now, we'll enjoy this Senior year and what we've got left with Clint!

We're Tickled Pink... Or Blue!

Couldn't be more thrilled to announce... The Thompsons are having a BABY!!!!!

When Karlton came up to Bear Lake for our reunion trip, they snuck into the cabin and put up this sign, C + K = ME!

They didn't say a word.  They just waited for us to notice.  It took us a minute, because it was also Clint's birthday, and we just thought for a second that they had put up some birthday decorations. But when we saw that cute onesie, there was no mistaking what the real meaning was!!

At first, we were told not to say anything for a while because they had just barely found out and they wanted to make sure everything was okay before announcing.  The next week, they went in for an ultrasound and found out that they were actually 12 weeks along!  There will be a new Thompson in February 2015! Karlee posted this on her Facebook to announce:

So cute!  We are all overjoyed!!  Wes and I can't wait to be grandparents!  Pommagranny and Padre Man?  Karlee is feeling mostly good.  She will be the most adorable pregnant lady!  We're hoping for an easy pregnancy and a healthy baby.  Love you, Karlton and Baby Mac!!!
