She Is 2!!

It's hard to believe it's been 2 years since this sweetheart was born, but what a fun 2 years it has been! We celebrated "animal style" Monday night with the Thompsons, Ulriches, Daines and Olsons. We had to wear ears of any kind. Wes and I were a wolf and a giraffe and it was fun to see what everyone else came with. We had a cow, a fox, a Batman, a Captain America, some bunnies, some kitties, a couple of Minnie Mouses, and a Yoda. Livi was so cute. When it was time to open presents, she started handing them out to other people. So sweet! They had to convince her that they were hers to open. But when the opening started, it was in earnest! She ooh'ed and ahh'ed over every little thing and squealed and said "it's my favorite!" She is just the cutest thing. It was the most entertaining gift opening ever. She made a haul too! We gave her some Duplos, and she got lots of other toys and clothes and her parents bought her a big girl bed. Her cake was a pink kitty cat cake and Karlee had made strawberry mice to go with it. Super cute and yummy! What a fun party. Happy Birthday, sweet girl! We love you so much!!

I had forgotten that Livi put stickers on my cheeks earlier in the day.

Trying for the epic selfie.

This was the scene later that night in Livi's new big girl bed. She had piled everything she owns on top and then went to sleep. I love this.

Selfies

I was taking a few pics of cute little miss the other day:

Then she grabbed the phone and started taking selfies! She knows when she is funny and cute now and this whole series of selfies is hilarious. We sure love you, Livi, you are so much fun!!

Missionary Update

We love hearing from our missionaries on Mondays! It's the best day of the week right now. We sure miss them, but we wouldn't have them anywhere else. They are learning and growing and having fun too. Here is a little update for the blog.
Elder T: He is still in Terre Haute, he's on his third transfer there. We love it because Sister Foster, owner of the goat farm, takes such great care of her "Foster kids" and she posts pictures on Facebook every Saturday night of the service the missionaries give her along with the delicious food she feeds them. The goats are having babies right now. Clint says witnessing the births is horrifying, but the babies are pretty dang cute! Clint spends a lot of time down on the farm. He has a couple of investigators right now. The weather has been mild this winter. The missionaries try to attend lots of public events where they sometimes have a chance to teach people. Recent events he has attended are a Catholic pancake breakfast and a talk at Indiana University by Elizabeth Smart.

He has also visited Brazil! Ha ha, we loved this pic!

Sister T: She is still in her first area with her trainer, Sis M. They have been working hard to help a couple of people get married so that they can get baptized. They've had two other baptisms and have taught several people. It rains a ton in her mission, but it's raining even harder right now due to the rainy season. They receive the most rain in the month of March. Her Presidente has complimented her on how well she has adjusted and how well she speaks the language so far. She doesn't love that she is a head taller than everyone else and that the people feel the need to point out how different she looks from them, height, hair color, eye color, skin color, etc. She is learning the gospel really well and always has wonderful insights to share with us.

Be My Chum

Happy Valentine's Day! We celebrated with yummy shark and heart sugar cookies that Super Olivia and I delivered to Pop Pop's work. We had also made shark valentines that said things like "you are fin-tastic" "I'm hooked on you" and "love bites." She had so much fun passing out our packages to Wes's co-workers. Some of them even traded her for stickers and such. They thought she was soooo cute! She wanted to "eat them" the whole time, so finally we sat in Pop Pop's office and ate a few cookies. Then on the way out, we saw a snake right by the door. It was moving pretty slowly, and Livi was fascinated. Thanks, Super Olivia for a "reely" fun day!
