Wes and I headed to Kanab this week for the monument meetings. Wes learned some cool stuff, including seeing an ancient Indian basket found by a hiker that was in pristine condition. It will now be curated and placed in a museum.
He also got to live out his paleontology dreams! The committee toured the paleontology lab in Kanab and actually got to do some work. Here Wes is working to free a T-Rex nostril! Super cool!!
I didn't do much on my own as I had a cold and felt kind of lousy. It was actually nice to have no responsibilities and just be able to hang out and read my book. It worked out okay because some roads were inaccessible and some trails too muddy anyway. Wes and I were able to get him to the Toadstools though and he loved it there!
