The boys all went motorcycling on Saturday before Mother's Day, and 2 of them came home broken. Wes and Clint had separate crashes about 10 minutes apart. Colton went into "dad" mode and took care of them. He and a few of the other guys who were there packed them up, tended as best they could to their wounds, and Wes drove home. On the way, he called our excellent ministering brothers, the Hulces, to see if they could unload the bikes and the truck. They came right away and took care of everything! I drove Wes and Clint to the ER. Due to Covid, I couldn't stay there with them. They were x-rayed and told to see the orthopedic surgeon on Monday. Clint had a broken collarbone and a couple of broken toes. Wes had 3 broken ribs and a torn ligament in his shoulder. Clint's ER doc told him "oh you're not even displaced, you should be fine." We don't know what the heck he was looking at, because the x-ray on Monday at Dr. Hicken's office definitely showed a displaced collarbone! They scheduled Clint for surgery right away. He did great and is now home resting up. They're hurting, but both in good spirits. Clint has some new hardware. And they have some stories to tell.
