Bar 10

It was another wild and fun adventure to the Grand Canyon and Bar 10 Ranch! This year it was hot, hot, hot! 112 degrees at one point! The first day was long. It was hot and so dusty on the trail. One of the motorcycle riders sliced open his gas tank on a wicked rocky section of trail. We were behind him, so we stopped to help. Plan A, patching the gas tank didn't work. Neither did Plan B, letting the back wheel ride along behind our side by side. Plan C was to haul it all the way to the ranch on top of our side by side. Good old Yolanda made it! Poor Sterling and Chaz, they were able to patch up the gas tank, and then on the ride home, their other bike got a flat tire. They ended up getting hauled back to St George in a ranch van. But the rest of the ride was fantastic. The Bar 10 knows how to take good care of us. Once again the food was excellent, the staff was great, and the stories, poems and fiddle around the campfire both nights were entertaining. This year we invited Wes's cousin Lisa and her husband Gordon. It was really fun to have them along and they had a blast. The Grand Canyon is still impressive! We had some other great riders with us. We stayed in hot St George the night before and the night after our ride. It was an awesome time! Thanks UTMA!
