Nachoooooooo!

It's that time of year again.  Time for Sky View student government tryouts.  First up, Exec.  Clint is trying out for Exec Vice President.  His skit involved him dressing up in a hilarious Nacho Libre costume:

And here's how the skit went down:

All of the skits were a lot of fun to watch!  The kids did a great job.  Clint has some stiff competition with 2 other kids trying out for VP.  2 of them will make it past the primaries, which we find out tomorrow!  Good luck, Clint!!

Long Distance Birthday

We had to celebrate Kori's 19th birthday long distance this year.  It was so weird to not have her here with us.  But we are grateful for modern technology so that we could still share a little bit of her day with her!  We had pizza for dinner...

And then we opened presents via Face Time!
We sent a card with some money so she can buy a new pair of TOMS.  Or whatever she decides to buy with it.

We also sent some goodies and birthday banners and horns.

Karlton gave her some new Sharpies and nail polish.

She was happy!

We loved talking to her!!!

She was also excited about her gift from Gollum!

Kori, we love you so much!  We are so proud of the wonderful example you are to us and to everyone you meet. We miss you every day!  We love your adventurous spirit, and we're so happy when you share your Hawaiian adventures with us.  BYU-H is lucky to have you!!!  We can't wait to see your smiling face in person!  Happy Number 19!

Do You Wanna Build A Snowman?

Clint spent a fun afternoon making a giant Olaf!  After posting the pics on Facebook, we even had a few people stop by to take their own photos.  That's how awesome it was!  Nicely done, Clint.  Unfortunately, Olaf died a dreary, wet death later in the evening when the temperatures rose and the snow turned into rain.  Maybe Clint will have to build him again.

Ew.

Much to my dismay, and Cider's delight, there are four elk legs hidden somewhere in our yard.  That's right, four!  They were provided by Wes's recent successful elk hunt.  Cider has buried them or hidden them somewhere, and once in a while, we see one of them.  This was my view out the sliding glass door the other day.  This leg was so encrusted with snow, it was obviously heavy for poor Cider.  But she happily carried it back and forth across the porch, stopping on either side to pick at it a little bit.  By evening, the leg was once again hidden. Oh, the strange habits of our canine friends.  Especially this one!  Ew.

Happy Birthday Colton!

Last night, we celebrated Colton's 23rd birthday!  We had yummy food:
Mmmmm... homemade Refried Beans.

Delicious Guacamole!

Oh my goodness, look at that Carne Asada!

Thanks Wes, for grilling it just right!  Add some of Aunt JuJu's Mexican Rice, and we're set!

This cute couple:

Decor included Colton faces:

Presents!

Karlee gave him a 2 year subscription, and some money to spend on.... something!

We gave him some insulated bibs to keep him warm at work, and while he's working on the cars.

And GOODIES!  Yumminess.  We made Chocolate Pudding, and Karlee brought an Oreo Crusted Cheesecake with Raspberry Sauce!  What a treat!

Then we watched the Best Movie Ever!  (In Mom's opinion... but everyone else loves it too.)  It's where Colton's name came from!

Happy Birthday Colton!!  We love you!  Your goodness, kindness, smartness, hard-workingness and awesomeness make us proud!

Sweethearts

Clint and his cute date, Jamie Johnson, off to the Sweethearts Dance!  Jamie's dress is from The Prom Locker, so we knew exactly how to dress Clint and what kind of flowers to get.  I think they look awesome!
