Fishy Fishy In The Stream

We took cousin Cassie to see the salmon run at Porcupine Dam.

Cassie thought it was super cool.  We had lots of fun with her, and I caught this baby snake!

Love you, Baby Girl!  Here are some recent pictures.  She is sitting by herself, and she loves to play with toys.  She has 2 teeth on the bottom!  She's a good natured sweetheart with wonderful parents.  We are so grateful for that!

Missing Kori

She's loving being back in Hawaii and loving being back in school.  We miss her so much, but we're glad for the opportunities she is having.

Lion King Party

We've been adventurous foodies as of late, thanks to our neighbor sharing some of his hunting spoils with us.  A couple of weeks ago we grilled some Bear meat.  We didn't love it.  The taste was okay, but it was too tough and chewy to really enjoy.  This week we tried some Mountain Lion.  In order to make it a little more palatable and fun, we turned the whole adventure into a party.  Because who doesn't need a little random Hakuna Matata for no reason at all?

We ate like pigs and had a great time.  The Lion wasn't even too bad.  We extra seasoned it and cooked it slowly in the crock pot.  Little Livi was happier with the gummy worms:

Family Photo Shoot

We had a family photo shoot at Bear Lake this year.  Out of the entire week we were there, this night just happened to be the only one with wind and rain!  We were watching the weather all day, getting more worried by the hour.  The sky took a dark turn just as our photographer showed up, but we all decided to just go for it.  We were so surprised and pleased with how the pictures turned out.  I think we were actually lucky with the weather, it made the colors pop, the beach was much less crowded, and we love how cool the sky looks.  Thank you to Krystal Atkinson Photography!  She was so relaxed and easy to work with, we loved her.  We got a ton of shots, but here are just a few of our faves:

It's My Party

Coming home from vacation is a little easier when it's your birthday the next day!  I had a wonderful day.  I woke up to giant tiki head decor from my sweet husband!  Some friends took me out to breakfast.  I had lots of nice phone calls and messages and gifts, what kind friends I have!  The family took me out for dinner at Pizza Factory and then back home for presents and Karlee's yummy cheesecake!  Karlton gave me some of my favorite bottled pop in a cute bucket.  Wes and Clint gave me some little chickens, some "chicken poop" chapstick, a cute chicken butt card, and guess what?  I'm getting a chicken painting!  Wes commissioned a chicken painting for me from our friend Kathy Roper.  It's not finished yet, but I'm so excited about it!  What a thoughtful husband I have.  :)  Thanks for helping me feel loved on my birthday, everyone!
