Merry Christmas!

Christmas Day came with a dusting of fresh snow. We all slept in until about 8:00. After our traditional sweet breads and Mrs. Bush's, we opened presents until about noon. Colton and Karlee and the girls came to visit in the afternoon. We spent the rest of the day snacking, watching movies and playing games. It was a lazy, relaxing, wonderful day! And so great to be together as a family!

Christmas Elves

We didn't really have much planned for Christmas Eve, since we were supposed to be at Karlton's house. Luckily I had bought a ham for Christmas Day, so we just put that in the crock pot and made a few sides. After we said goodbye to Colton and Karlee and the girls, we had some dinner, drove around to see the lights, and then came home and snuggled down to watch The Fellowship of the Ring. Now that's our kind of Christmas movie! We opened our presents from the elves, and lo and behold, Clint and Kori got new LOTR shirts! They loved them! We all put on our new jammies and read the Christmas story from the Book of Mormon. It was a different kind of Christmas Eve, but really really awesome! Don't Livi and Ivy look so cute in their new jammies too?

Christmas Eve Cookies

Yummy! It was soooo great to have everyone together for Christmas this year! We loved making cookies, playing and hanging out on Christmas Eve day. We had left all of our cookie cutters and sprinkles at Karlton's house since we were supposed to be there. The Wallys were so nice to not only shovel us out after Wes got hurt, but to let us use their Christmas cookie cutters. We had a few sprinkles left in the cupboard, so we made do with what we had. They still tasted delicious!
