Mother's Day

It was a fantastic Mother's Day at our house! We finally got to see the grand kiddos! Karlee and Colton brought up brunch for us. We had home church all together. The boys all got to do the sacrament together, and we had a Lego lesson about Abinadi. Karlee and I got spoiled with flowers and cards and gifts. Thanks family! You're the BEST! Wes and Clint were hurt from a motorcycling mishap (stay tuned for another post) but Wes delivered with a heartfelt letter that read:
Dear Michelle,
Sorry, no store bought Mother's Day card this year, but a hand made letter instead. You are the best mom and wife ever! You are one act of selfless love after another and are so appreciated and loved. You are full of empathy for other people all the time. Here are just a few of the million reasons I love you for all your million acts of LOVE:
Giving me a hug and a kiss multiple times every day.
Telling me you love me.
Playing pickle ball every day for 2 hours with your friends and then going to brunch, then to lunch.
Helping build a cabin at Bear Lake.
Letting me have adventures and misadventures with our boys.
Taking me to the doctor for all of my various injuries and conditions (see misadventures above.)
Finding lost things.
Loving your kids.
Loving your grand kids even more.
Playing phone games with your grand kids.
Washing the car.
Supervising the laundry fairies.
Being able to spell.
Taking care of your parents.
Making me lunch.
Taking care of your kids.
Mowing the lawn.
Being the Relief Society President.
Being Polynesian.
Making cookies and brownies.
Buying food and cooking food.
Laughing at my jokes and puns (sometimes.)
Knowing all things about the movies.
Falling asleep in 5 minutes.
Talking about bra sizing.
Going out in the boat.
Going out to eat.
Having an 8:30 bed time.
Being the party person.
And just being you. You make our lives and home a happy and organized place!
That pert near covers it.
Happy Mother's Day!
Love, Wes aka Chicken Butt

Social Distance Hiking

These ladies have helped keep me sane during the quarantine. We play pickle ball a couple of times a week. It's one of the only things I go out for and to me, it's essential for my mental health. I'm too extroverted and social to not have some friend time right now. I'm glad these ladies are part of my quarantine. This day we decided to go hiking. We hiked the pyramids in Smithfield. It was a bit chilly, but it was a beautiful day and so much fun!

Puzzlemania

We can't stop doing puzzles! For this one, we had to bring out the big gun table. We should have kept track of how many puzzles we've finished. I'm thinking it's around 10 so far, maybe more. When this quarantine is over, we're definitely going to remember this time for our puzzlemania!

Happy Easter

It was a little bit different kind of Easter this year, but we made the best of it. Colton's family spent the day digging out their garden. They colored their eggs Saturday night and sent us pics.

Here at home, we had a wonderful Sunday. We had the sacrament at home and talked about our Savior's atonement. We colored our eggs, including the traditional ugly egg. We had a Jack Black Easter as everyone got a Jack Black movie. We had fun with temporary tattoos. Then in the afternoon, we got a surprise "social distance" visit from the grandkids! They only stayed for a little while, and we just talked out in the front yard, but it was oh so good to seem them. Just what this Poma needed! The rest of the day, we relaxed, ate dinner, played games and watched one of our new movies. We are grateful this Easter season for our Savior's atonement, His example, and for each other.

Home Work

Kori started working from home today while we're quarantined. Isn't she cute? We're grateful that she still has her job and that she is able to work from home. Wes is still going in to the office, but most of his co-workers are working from home. Clint is still doing school online. Colton has been working from home too. I'm working from home too. :) Still working hard on puzzles, ha ha! We are grateful during this time to have a home and enough to eat. We are grateful to have each other. It really puts into perspective what things are the most important.

Thank Goodness For Technology

So so grateful for technology so we can see these kiddos and talk to them while we're quarantined!
