High Adventure Backpacking Trip
Clint's Scout trip this year was an exciting backpacking trip through the Sawtooth Mountains in Idaho. As you can tell from these photos, it is breathtakingly beautiful there!
The first day was the most grueling. They left home at 6:00 am and got to the trailhead at about 1:00 pm, then they hiked uphill for 8 miles to their campsite.
The boys had to carry their own "Mountain House" dehydrated food. They got a little tired of it to say the least.
Here is Clint's nice napping spot. The second day Clint opted to rest up at camp. Some of the other boys went day hiking.
The third day they hiked to Alice lake and spent the night there.
They found some snow at the top! George the dog accompanied them the entire route, he even carried his own supplies.
This is called Twin Lakes.
This is Alice Lake. It was here that a poor frog was boiled up and partially eaten. Ew. There are some things a mom doesn't want to know about Scout camp.
Bro. Wallace took these reflection photos, aren't they gorgeous?
Clint loved these awesome views, everywhere they looked, and he thought the reflections were so cool.
