(to me!) I feel like one lucky Momma today! It's been a wonderful Mother's Day. We got to skype with our missionary this afternoon. We talked for a little over an hour and it was awesome! It was almost like he was right there with us! He looks so good and seems so happy. We brought Cider in and when she heard his voice, she perked up and went over and sniffed the computer! After we talked to Colton, we enjoyed a yummy dinner of fettucine alfredo, pulled pork sandwiches, salad and limeade. Then we played a little Settlers and ate brownies. I'm just about to watch an episode of Lost. I know, a pretty perfect day, huh? I also got to visit with my mom yesterday in Pocatello. I took her up a gift and came home with several gifts for myself! What a deal! And what a sweet family I have. Thanks to all of you who have been mother figures to me, and thanks to all of you who are such good examples of motherhood. I recently read a moving blog post about making sure we moms take pictures of ourselves with our kids! Often, we are the ones taking the pictures, and we don't want ourselves in the shots. We're worried about how we look. But this blogger pointed out that we are beautiful to our children. They don't notice the blemish, the extra weight, or the bad hair day, and they will treasure those pictures. So in an effort to put myself in more pictures, I posed with my family today on Mother's Day! Plus, check out the awesome blue pearl necklace that my family gave me. I shamelessly begged for it and I love it. I love you Kori for being my best girlfriend, for watching Jane Austen movies with me, for loving Mexican food, and for telling me secrets. I love you Clint for willingly giving me a hug today, for answering my questions, for being creative, and PS, I love hearing your laugh every day. I love you Wes for cleaning the kitchen when I'm tired, for hugging and kissing me hello and goodbye, for always remembering occasions, and for knowing me so well. I love you Colton for making me a mom, for being so easy to live with, for showing a great example for your family, and for your "light up the room" smile. I am one lucky Momma indeed!!
