Happy Birthday In Paradise

Kori had the best birthday ever.  Her words.  I'm pretty sure we didn't think it was the best birthday ever since we couldn't celebrate with her, but we're glad she had a great birthday celebration.  She is out of school this week, so she and her friends had plenty of time to celebrate and play.  Kori got a new short haircut from one of her roomies.  Her friends took her out for a breakfast smoothie, they watched a movie in the afternoon, they went to dinner at Cholo's, yum!  They watched the sunset from the beach.  And Brady Parks from The National Parks, one of Kori's favorite bands, just happened to be playing a solo set at Kahuku Grill on Kori's birthday!  What luck!  They showed up, had the front row, announced Kori's birthday, everyone sang to her, she got to talk to Brady after and get her photo taken with him!  She was super excited.  Then there was even more!  Another party with a co-worker who shares her birthday, presents from her Asian co-worker guys, and paddle boarding up the river in Hale'iwa a couple of days later.  Doesn't get much better than that.  Happy 21!!!  We love you so much, sweet sunshine.  It's been a "whale" of a time these 21 years with you.
