Memorial Day

Wes and I went separate directions on Memorial Day. Wes went down to SLC to visit Michelle's grave and visit with Aunt Jan. I joined the Nash family in Preston. It was a drizzly day. Livi and Ivy and I stomped through a lot of puddles and got rained on all morning. We hurried through the cemeteries and then ended our day at Big J's. It was fun to see everyone. When we got back to our house, Karlee and I had our own little Mother's Day Extravaganza and played with the girls for a bit. We are grateful for our families, the values they taught us and the memories that we cherish.

SLC Adventures

We wanted to spend a day all together, so we headed down to SLC. Wes wasn't feeling well and didn't join us. First stop, Hogle Zoo! We hadn't been there in forever, and it was the little girls' first time. The zoo has changed a lot, definitely for the better. Livi loved the zebras the most. We also loved the carousel, the lions, the elephants, the bird show, the monkeys and the seals. We had so much fun!

After the zoo, we drove out to West Valley to see Aunt Michelle's new grave stone. It looks really nice.

We finished our day with some yummy Mexican food at Red Iguana, mmmmm! Thanks everyone for a really great day!

Health Days Parade

Health Days got lucky this year with beautiful weather! The parade was so fun. The library board dressed in Star Wars costumes to reflect this year's summer reading theme "a universe of stories."
