The Southern Most Thompsons In The US

The next day, we spent the morning snorkeling at a place called Two Step. It's a little bay with a lava bed instead of a beach, and you walk down the steps of the lava bed. Two steps and you're in the ocean. It has great snorkeling because it is a deep coral bottom, and there are a ton of different kinds of fish there. Evidently before we arrived, there had been a pod of dolphins in the bay. We were sitting right in front of a tide pool that had a little sea turtle in it. It stayed there all day, just munching on the moss on the rocks. We had to warn a few people about the turtle because the didn't see it and were about to step on it. It was fun to watch people's reactions to the turtle all day. And sure enough, Two Step had some incredible snorkeling. Later that afternoon, we drove as far south as we could down South Point. We couldn't believe there were people jumping off these cliffs! This is the southern most point in the US. We had seen a bunch of signs saying "southern most restaurant in the US" or "southern most bakery in the US" so we became the southern most Thompsons in the US!
