Clint's Eagle Project

It turned out to be a beautiful day for giving some service.  We did the bulk of Clint's Eagle project today with a lot of help from neighbors, leaders, Scouts, and even some Girl Scouts!  Clint's project was planting trees at Cutler Canyon Marina, as well as cleaning up the area.  Wes and Clint decided to do some pole plantings, so they cut some trees from Newton Reservoir and then we planted them at Cutler.  It worked really well, now let's hope they grow!

These two were mainly the garbage crew.  Karlee, you were such a good sport!

We planted a total of 31 trees!!  It was a LOT of work, and everyone pitched in and did their part.  We had a fantastic crew out there!

The boys used the hand augers, but for some of the deeper holes, the guys got out the Big Boy Toy!

Let's hear it for Girl Power!!  These ladies worked every bit as hard as the guys, and they planted several trees all by themselves.  They were excited because our project helped them out with some of their Girl Scout requirements. They even caught a frog to take home!

And we have trees!  Success!!

Excellent job, Eagle Scout!!!  We are so grateful for all the help we received today, THANK YOU everyone!!  Clint, it was a really great project.  We are so proud of you for putting it together, and for all your leadership and hard work.  We're excited now to watch your trees grow!
