Hawaii Five-0 - Christmas Eve At The PCC!

Back to Laie!  This was my personal favorite day.  It was the day I had talked about and dreamed about for so long.  I've wanted my whole family to experience The Polynesian Cultural Center together, and what a way to spend Christmas Eve!  Everyone loved it.
We are here!

Kori was pretty enthralled with every bit of the PCC.

Clint wanted to try everything!

The lovebirds got crafty making these cute fish!
Kori was so excited for the Samoa presentation.  She has my old PCC video completely memorized, and our cute  Samoan guide did not disappoint.  He had all the jokes down, and then some.  He was adorable.

Climbing coconut trees is harder than it looks!

Waiting for the canoe pageant to start.

Representing Hawaii.

This girl was just stunningly gorgeous.

Aotearoa or New Zealand.

Clint got some skin ink in Aotearoa.

Did I mention that Kori was pretty enthralled with the PCC?

Everyone loved the Luau.  The food was so delicious!  Especially the purple Taro Root Rolls!  The entertainment was top notch.  The only thing that could have been better is if we could have taken the singers home with us to serenade us at every meal!

Mmmmm...

During the Luau Show, Wes stood while the band sang Happy Birthday to all the "December babies."  I have no doubt that is the most beautiful version of Happy Birthday that Wes will ever have sung to him!  Then they called for everyone celebrating "love" to come up onstage.  Karlton was not excited about this, but we gently encouraged (read: bodily forced) them to go up onstage.  The emcee asked who was engaged, and Karlton got to announce when they were getting married.  They also had onstage a couple who had been married one day, and a few celebrating their anniversaries, including one cute couple celebrating 50 years.  The band sang and invited all the lovers to dance.  It was so cute!  Thank you, Colton and Karlee for indulging us.  We loved it!!

And finally, the evening show, "Ha: The Breath Of Life."  One reviewer of this show said "There are moments that will make you breathless and thrilled."  Yes, like the entire show.  It was just incredible!  We had front row seats, and the performers all came out to shake our hands at the end.  The fire dancers were like nothing I have ever seen, they just went on and on!  Amazing!  Plus, I got my pineapple boat!!  I have seen the evening show many times, and I've always seen these pineapple desserts but I've never had one until now.  Yum!

Best way to spend Christmas Eve EVER!
